Prologue to Andy's Divine Choice
Greetings Readers of All Ages
I am the mother of two amazing sons, one biologic and one adopted, who have been a blessing and pleasure to raise to be loving forces in the universe, to be respectful to all, and to be responsible for their actions and choices – both during life and before it.
I wrote this particular book in response to heart felt questions from my adopted son as to why he came to our particular family. The inner searching to answer his question, caused me to extend the thought to the bigger question of why we all end up where we do with our families, friends, experiences and locations.
In this story, a wonderful Spirit-Soul, takes responsibility before an earthly birth- as we all do- for all of life’s coming circumstances, and the power, potential and responsibility of those choices. In this story, we go on a journey before birth with the Spirit-Soul who wants to be born into a specific earth family that unfortunately cannot physically create babies. But the Spirit-Soul doesn’t give up and chooses to be part of an adoption. The story shows the amazing web of love that is produced by a Spirit-Soul’s pre-life desires, choices, and adoption. An adopted child’s choices, circumstances and web of life are more extended than being birthed into a family. With adoption, the number of people, families, friends, and communities affected and opportunities for growth are quite wonderfully magnified for everyone. And when you think about it; aren’t we all adopted, in some sense by others throughout our lives? This is a very special story about choosing and being chosen and the incredible Spirit that lives in us all.
I think that you will find that this story matches the collective yearning in all our hearts, which wonder why we are in certain families and situations that we find ourselves. Being blessed with both an adopted and a biologic child and hearing the question of “Why am I in this family?”....from both of them, opened my heart to the thought that this does not stop at the boundaries of one family but goes to our global family on this earth. Adoption is a topic not only for people investigating parenting options but also the deeper, bigger questions as to why, out of all the billions of possibilities, we end up exactly where we do, which of course is larger than adoption and bigger than genetics. This story also speaks to the empowerment and responsibility of choices and the web of life that exists between us all.
Before writing this story, in all my looking to answer this question, I could find no adoption books that spoke about our pre-life choices to come to a particular family. There are books about little ducks that are adopted into swan families or children of diverse human experiences coming to a different culture, but all seem to deal with the physical level, not our connection with the Web of Life. None of the books spoke about a Spirit-Souls’ own pre-life choices and the power and responsibility to be exactly where we end up. All of the books about adoption did not acknowledge a child’s Spirit-Soul as an active part of the equation and the power and potential that this brings.
I have been blessed to be an artist my whole life. From the time I could scribble with a crayon with my father who was quite the artist, as I will be until the last day here on earth. As a visionary creative artist, I have been blessed to illustrate these words and concepts. Each page is a complete painting into itself and is created in prayerful meditation in connection with the story and with Spirit.
I believe that the words of this story are very important and transmit Love. The illustrations create a loving opening, and the words deliver the message. This story is written in a different style than we usually encounter while reading. I have tried to write this story in a way that transmits how incredible we all are. This makes the way the descriptive words are used instead of pronouns, sound differently to our “educated” ears. Using this unique approach, makes our minds pay more attention as our spirits are fed. I have written more about this method in the forward of the book.
Blessings to you on your path-

Introduction to Andy’s Divine Choice
Just for the moment, please suspend the beliefs that many of us are raised to accept about our earthly birth.
For a moment, consider this: Consider that there is an existence before our earthly life and that we are deeply involved in the selection of our own coming life circumstances. Consider that we actually choose our parents, families, friends, locations, life situations, lessons, and opportunities for growth – both favorable and adverse- that we will encounter on our lifepaths. So, it is no longer, “Poor me. I have this horrible situation or life or family” and it is no longer, “I don’t know why I’m so lucky to be having this experience” as the potential opportunities are all something we have chosen and have been involved in co-creating. There is power in selecting situations with the potential for growth – and the responsibility for that, as well. There also is a power in the remembrance of this intricate dance between us and All that Is, which weaves us together as One Family of Divine Love.
This is a story about a Wonderful Spirit-Soul who takes responsibility for choosing the coming life circumstances and opportunities for growth which, in this story, includes adoption. Selecting circumstances of life and opportunities for growth as a pre-life Spirit-Soul for a biologic birth is one thing but the Web of Life multiples even more when adoption is involved. With adoption, the number of people, families, friends, and communities touched are multiplied and opportunities for growth are magnified. And when you think about it, aren’t we all adopted in some sense in our lives?
So please come listen and feel how loved we all are and to a special story about choosing and being chosen and the incredible Spirit-Soul that lives in us all.
A Word about the Writing Style of
The Divine Choice
In the writing of this story, I have used a unique system of language, to try and relay how incredible we all are. The powerful and positive descriptive words about the Spirit-Soul in this story, are meant to elicit a remembrance of the Divine that resides in us all. Instead of using gendered pronouns such as she or he or they to refer to the Spirit-Soul, I always use positively charged words like the Treasured Spirit or the Exceptional Spirit. This makes the way the descriptive words are used, instead of pronouns, sound differently to our “educated” ears. Using this unique approach makes our minds pay more attention as our spirits are fed. When I do this, I am always referring to the main character in an attempt to relay to the reader how divinely loved the Spirit-Soul and we all are. When you read this story, please know that you too are every one of these descriptive words and much more.
The following is a list of the descriptive words found in the Andy’s Book: The Divine Choice. Just as an exercise, read all the words together and you might start to feel the wonderment of you!
