Scottish Highland Games

Celtic Goddess talks

My family has been in the United States for 19 generations-

I am the 17th generation, with 2 more generations after me.  I am blessed to have Scottish Heritage on both sides of my family, from different clans so it will be no surprise that the Scot people and Scotland resonates with me.  I can feel it in my bones and in my heart when the bagpipes play.  But also, I have Celtic heritage from many different locations- Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Briton, for example.  So, I’m really a Heinz 57 Celtic mutt, like most of us are.  But if you ask me which part, I most identify with at this point in my life......it would be Scottish!

Many years ago, I was asked to speak at the Seattle Scottish Highland Games. I was so excited; I give a hearty and robust- Aye! Yes!  And I have been speaking there ever since.

I absolutely love the festive spirit of Scottish Highland Games and I am now the Chairperson of the Heritage Speakers Series.  I make sure that we have interesting, fun, educational experiences each day in our tent where we have standing room only for many of the speakers. In fact, people tell me they come to the Games just for the speakers. They are that good.

I love the Seattle Scottish Highland Games and the years I have been part of it. And because of that feeling, for the last number of years, I have been a Trustee and on the Board of SSHGA. I feel it is a privilege to serve the Scottish tradition and heritage here in the Pacific Northwest of the United States.

When I speak at the Highland Games, it is always about Celtic Goddesses and I do have standing room only, at my talks. My talks are entertaining, yes, but it is also exposure to a spiritual system that was strong and vibrant for thousands and thousands of years and honored the females in the clans and the Celtic Pantheon and in the Divine Feminine. I feel that many people are thirsty for this way of viewing the world today.

So here are some of the talks that I have given about fierce, wise, amazing Celtic Women, Saints and Goddesses.  Some of the talks are similar but each of them had its own Gaelic flair. Come and visit us sometime at the Seattle Highland Games in Enumclaw Washington, the last weekend of July. You will love it!  Slainte!
